We carry out this mission through research, community services, education, and advocacy to save babies’ lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers, and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, and low birth weights.”

The Read & Lead™ program is a one-on-one reading improvement program conducted by high school students to teach young emergent readers in the early years of elementary school to love and enjoy books.

**The current Major Emphasis Program is High Five for Health. However, because it will change at International Convention, the committee did not set a goal. We will set a goal for the new MEP once it is decided upon at International Convention.
