China Earthquake

On May 2, 2008, high winds, heavy rain and flood water claimed thousands of lives and damaged hundreds of thousands of homes in southwestern Myanmar. Just ten days later, on Monday, May 12, at 2.28 p.m. Beijing time (6:28 GMT), a major earthquake, measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale, jolted southwestern China's Sichuan Province and ripped through entire neighborhoods and villages of China. From these disasters, the death toll number in the thousands, the injured nearly four times that number, and leaving millions more homeless.

China Earthquake

These past weeks have been horrific. In China, the latest news reports over 55,000 dead, and in Myanmar, thousands more. These disasters have harmed hundreds of families, and children have been torn apart from their parents and loved ones. Please find it in your hearts to pray for the victims of the Myanmar cyclone and the China earthquake. May God be with us in His Essence and Spirit.

If possible, please consider making a monetary contribution through the American Red Cross.
