Dear Mighty New York District,
Welcome to the 2008-2009 Key Club Service Year! My name is Beth Malley and it is my honor to serve as this year’s Kiwanis Family Relations Chair. I also am the Lieutenant Governor for Division 23.
The Kiwanis Family Relations Committee dedicated their time to improving the relationships between each branch of the Kiwanis Family. Those branches are Kiwanis, Circle K, Key Club, Builder’s Club, K-Kids, and Aktion Club. Our job is to provide resources, ideas, and information for you to use to improve relations with not only your sponsoring Kiwanis Club, but the rest of the Kiwanis Family.
The Kiwanis Family Relations Committee has set their goal 20,000 hours for the year. Lat year the New York District performed over 17,000 hours of service with the Kiwanis Family and we believe we can do more and we need your help. To help you help us reach our goal, we will have brochures, sent out bi-monthly, that highlight each branch of the K-Family. Every month, in your Lieutenant Governor’s newsletter, we will have an article in there giving you more information. Every couple of months, in the newsletter article, we will inform you of the number of hours to date, for the entire district so keep a look out for that!
The committee will also send out bi-weekly tips to your Lieutenant Governors to send to you. Sometimes they will contain facts about a branch of Kiwanis or tips on how to start a Kiwanis Family project. Also be on the look out for those bi-monthly brochures! Each edition will highlight a different part of the Kiwanis Family to educate you on them.
If you have any questions feel free to send your Lieutenant Governor an email or email a committee member.
Sincerely,
Beth Malley
Kiwanis Family Relations Chair
