Hey Key Clubbers!

Are you pumped for the beginning of an amazing year in service and fun? I know I am! As your newly elected District Governor, I plan to serve alongside every Key Clubber throughout the upcoming year. So, let me start by introducing myself. My name is Amy Lorenc and I’m a sophomore at Shaker High School in Division 16. Last year I served as your District Editor and was in charge of making our District Publication, the Empire Key. Besides Key Club, I’m on my school’s varsity track team and play the drum set.

The entire District Board and I have been busy making changes to our District that I hope you’ll find useful. As Key Clubbers, you are dedicated to serving others, and as your District Governor I will in return make it my priority to serve you. I hope you enjoy and utilize our new district website; Webmaster Allen has done wonders to improve it.

The paperwork process has been totally revamped and simplified, which is something I’m sure clubs are happy about! Say good-bye to Treasurer Report Forms and hello to a simple, online fundraising form. Instead of having two yearly deadlines for TRFs as in previous years, you will now fill out a form each time you do a project. This can be found under the paperwork section on our website. Proof in the form of a check or letter from an organization must still be mailed or emailed to District Treasurer Jeff.

Not only has the treasurer paperwork process been revised… Monthly Report Forms have been, too. The new form is still due each month to District Secretary Vince and your Lieutenant Governor. However, the format has been completely changed. It’s much simpler now- projects don’t need to be categorized, just briefly explained. If you have any questions regarding paperwork, feel free to ask!

After meeting so many of you at our 60th annual District Convention last month, I got a sense of how enthusiastic our members really are. I can’t wait for this year to get underway! If I didn’t get the chance to meet you, hopefully I will. Feel free to call, email, or IM me at any point this year if you have questions, suggestions, or just want to introduce yourself! Take everything this year has to offer you- meet new people, experience new things, and most importantly, make a difference in the world. I’m looking forward to being dazzled and amazed by how successfully you serve your homes, schools, and communities this year.

In the spirit of service,
District Governor Amy Lorenc
