One Word that Describes Me Passionate
Reason I joined Key Club Part of the reason is that coming from a strict Chinese family, my parents always compare me with my siblings and I knew that I wasn't going to be that 4.0 GPA student that my sister was so I joined Key Club in hopes of being better at her in something.  She served as my home club's president for two consecutive years, but never made it to become a Lieutenant Governor.  The other part of the reason is that I grew up living in a really poor household since my parents had just immigrated to America and so all the clothes and food I had were donated by the local churches.  At the time, I was not yet educated in English to write thank you letters and I actually never met the people who were so kind to me and my family.  So I made a promise to myself that I would grow up to give back to the community that was so generous to me when I was younger, serving those in need in every way possible.  Ohh, and I had no friends as a freshman... hahahaha so clubs were an opportunity to meet new students!

Division 8 — Lieutenant Governor Diana Tran

Goals for the 2009-2010 Service Year Let me see, a lot... My major goal for the 2009-2010 service year is, of course, to keep strengthening Division 8 and make it even better after several great Immediate Past Lt. Governors have done so much for this outstanding division. I am confident that I will take Division 8 to the next level by planning exciting events, hosting interesting meetings and strengthening communication with the District and other branches of the Kiwanis Family. I wish to build a strong bond between all my clubs, no matter if they are the strongest one or the weakest one. As a Lieutenant Governor, I am willing and glad to speak with every Key Clubber, District Board member and other Kiwanis Family members. Last but not least, I wish I can be accomplished and qualify for the Robert F. Lucas Outstanding Lieutenant Governor Award at the end of my lieutenant governorship.

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor Cookies and Cream
Favorite Pizza Topping Mozzarella Cheese
One Word that Describes Me Smart
Reason I joined Key Club Everything was started with a real coincidence. At the first few days of my life in Bayside High School, I was aware of Key Club by the member recruitment flyers on the hallway. I swear I was laughing out loud about "Key" Club, because I thought Key Clubbers need to hold the key in the hallway to open the door for students, just like J. K Rowling's Character, Hagrid, a Keykeeper in Hagwardz. Suddenly, on one Friday morning, two of my friends dragged me down to the auditorium and said: "Look, this is a perfect place to conduct your leadership and help your community." Honestly, I had no idea what they are talking about, but I was so impressed by the hundreds and hundreds of Key Clubbers in the auditorium that I forced myself to choose stay. I believe I have made the best and smartest choice in my life and from that moment, I started my Kiwanis career.
