What a convention!! The New York District was well represented in Denver for the 65th annual Key Club International Convention. After spending three days touring the Denver area, including white water rafting where we all got wet, it was time to get down to the business of the convention. The more than fifty representatives from New York attended workshops to help improve their leadership skills, got to know each other better, and attended the House of Delegates to elect next year's International Officers. All of the results may be seen on this website.
The time before school begins may be used to do some valuable service in your community. This is a perfect time to do a club park, beach, or roadside clean-up. It is also a good time to plan your activities for the first quarter of the year. Please inform the district of your activities by submitting the Monthly Report Forms.
We now have more than 14,000 members of the New York District of Key Club International. Dues collection should begin as soon as you return to school and should be submitted beginning October 1, 2008. The district will award an early bird banner patch to those clubs that submit dues to International by October 15, 2008.
Please begin to make plans for the New York District Key Club Leadership Training Conference to be held at the Nevele April 3-5, 2009. More information will follow.
